What's on my desk? Part 91.

Good morning!

I'm back from holidays. My long weekend in Edinburgh was very fun, but also very exhausting. Time to return to the shop, and relax with some modelling!

So: a short blog this week.

Three things: First off, I resprayed the McLaren body in Satin Black. The side panels, it turns out, do have to be white, but that's a masking job for later. I also brushpainted the silver/aluminium parts and attached the brake pads to the suspension arms.

The Bergepanther's engine was airbrushed in Ammo-Mig 218 Schwarzgrau. I assembled most of the parts, then pinned them on toothpicks. A piece of styrofoam then holds the painted parts while they dry. Next up: weathering and final assembly.
Finally, I finished the wood planking. Some planks received a light coat of Raw Umber, to give them a bit of a different tint. I made the mistake of trying to do this with some white oil paint, thinking it would make a lighter, colder colour. Doesn't work, so I wiped off as much of the paint as possible. It flowed in the panel line, so that will need a bit of Dark Wash to bring back the contrast.
That's it for now.
More to come next week!
