What's on my desk? Part 148.

Good morning and welcome,
After our 3rd birthday on Saturday we've now officially started year 4. Let's hope we can make it to 5!
I'm in the paint stages for all three models. It's slow going.
The Strv103 has been given the second (tan brown) colour and this has been taped off. Next up is dark green.
Both Hurricane and Battle have been airbrushed with the two top colours: XF-52 Earth and Vallejo 71.324 BS Dark Green. I haven't used Vallejo very often and I had some issues with paint not covering in one coat. It still came out nice in the end:
As with the Corsair earlier, you can see the panel lines are pretty deep. This will make it easier to weather later. I also painted the gun barrels Gun Metal and the landing lights Oilbrusher Silver.
The Battle has similar colours:
Belgian planes were painted aluminium on the underside. I could not get the wavy sepraration line sharp enough, so in the end I just took a paintbrush and did it by hand:
The wheels can still spin, so I'll be able to paint them all the way around. First off, though; a gloss coat for decals and weathering.
I'll end the blog again with a picture of the Jolie Brise. I'm doing one plank per day now, to let the glue dry thoroughly. On the other side my planks lined up perfectly at the bow. No cutting needed, full plank widths all the way. This side didn't match up so nice, so I had to cut an angle in order to pass through the last bow plank from the top:
5 or 6 more to go, so hopefully the hull will be fully planked by next week!
That's it for today.
See you next week.
