New from Airfix - the putty situation - Humbrol announcement

First off: finally arrived: the new, long expected Airfix Jaguar in 1/48 scale!

A few words about putty. A lot of us use the classic Tamiya grey putty. It's a great product, essential for modelling. However, there's a bit of a supply situation with it. For a while now, it's been missing from my supplier's website. I can still order it, but I've been given to understand that it might be a while before it's back in stock. As a substitute, I've ordered and received Ammo Arming Putty, Classic type! It's very similar to our familiar Tamiya product, and a bit cheaper. Click the image for the store page.

Finally, an interesting announcement about two forthcoming Humbrol sets: a diorama-in-a-box! Called Lifescapes, they're pre-painted, made of wood and easy to assemble. Perfect for a quick diorama, with plenty of options to refine and weather further.
First there's the Grand Garage, for displaying cars or trucks, in 1/43 scale:

Second, the Warbird Workshop, in 1/72:
They will be around the €53 mark, excluding the vehicle model.
No release date yet, but hopefully still this year...
