What's on my desk? Part 39.

Hello again. October already, so my little shop is almost a year old!
October 5/6 is Weekend of the Customer, so come by and receive a small gift! Help me save my diet!
On to the builds, then.
First off, the SHAR. I've taken the plane home for final assemblies and painting... which kinda failed because I forgot to bring my transparent glues. Still, I was able to fit the cannons and antennas.
Underside. The two big fairings under the belly are the cannon pods.
Topside. There's a big pitot tube jutting out from the top of the nose. The part in the kit is too big, it should smoothly transition into the nose, but there was a step visible. So once again, I took a sharp knife and trimmed the part to fit. Needs some filling at the side, but I'm glad I got it correct. The nose cone as well will need some sanding to sit flush with the fuselage.
On to the houses. Here's the grey house front door dry-fitted. Clearly I forgot to paint the inside frame...
I also posted a question to my social media to ask which colour the café doors should be. I got 5 votes for green, one for distressed red. So green it will be!
As the doors were primed in black, and green is a bright-ish colour, I resprayed them with Vallejo white primer.
Finally, the old Matchbox kit. I'm glad we live in golden modelling times, because this thing... Detail is very sparse, fit is horrible and instructions are vague at best (and outright wrong at worst). I know Matchbox was at the bottom of cheap crud, but the cheapest modern kits are infinitely better than this thing ever was.
Do you notice something off about the wings? (Don't mind the black primer overspray...)
That's right. The left wing sits at a different angle than the right wing. To make sure the wings both move at the same time, they're connected by a pivoting bar and sit in a small round axle. Which means there is only one way to assemble them. And still there's a misaligment... In the end it will mostly look like a Tornado, so that's something at least?
I dug up my next project already and started with some necessary preparatory airbrushing. Stay tuned for more!
See you next week!
